CHRONIC DEBT

Privacy

A straightforward description of data collected by the custom site tools.

Updated November 3, 2026.

Information entered into our tools

Our five custom tools run in your browser. Their code does not send your entries to ChronicDebt or automatically save them. Export anything you want to keep before leaving or reloading the page. Printing, downloading or opening a saved checklist happens at your direction through your browser or device. Keep exported and printed copies secure, especially on shared devices. Use nicknames or partial references rather than account numbers, Social Security numbers, medical details or other sensitive identifiers.

Cookies and consent preferences

CookieAdmin manages this site’s cookie choices. You can accept, reject or customize non-essential cookies and reopen the cookie controls to change your choice. Preferences are set to expire after 365 days; deleting browser cookies may reset them sooner.

CookieAdmin records a consent ID, consent status, country, anonymized IP address and timestamp. Automatic cleanup of consent records is currently disabled, so the 365-day preference expiry is not a deletion schedule for those records.

Sharing and outside websites

When you choose a sharing link, the article URL and, where applicable, its title are passed to the selected service. The provider’s privacy practices apply when you use it. Articles also link to outside reference websites; following those links leaves ChronicDebt.

Hosting and site operation

WordPress, our hosting provider and site-operation plugins may process technical request and connection information, security logs and functional cookies needed to operate the website. This page does not specify a retention period for hosting or security logs.

As of the date above, the site has no analytics tracking configured, no contact forms and no connected social feeds. The custom tools require no visitor account. Changes to these services should be reflected in this notice.
